Convergence Rental Housing Real Estate Group is a Denver-based multifamily investment and development firm founded by Lauren A. Brockman. Brockman built his expertise and connections as the former head of Allied Realty’s Denver office, where he sponsored the acquisition/development of more than 10,000 multifamily units with approximately $925 million in value. Now, Brockman and Convergence partner with industry leaders to take Class A developments from an empty lot and idea to a fully leased, managed and thriving property.
Lauren A. Brockman
During Lauren A. Brockman’s twenty-five-year tenure at Allied Realty, he handled acquisition and development of approximately 10,000 multifamily units, with a total aggregate value of approximately $925 million. While he was principal at Allied Realty, starting in 2000, the firm grew its management platform from 5,000 units to a little over 27,000, and acquired/developed 5,620 units with an aggregate value of $665 million. In December 2012, Brockman sold his interest in Allied Realty’s operating platform, followed by his ownership interest in Allied Orion Holdings, LLC.
Mr. Brockman’s career experience spans across every sector of the multifamily rental industry including market feasibility, project financing, development, construction, onsite construction management, property management and asset management. Additionally, Brockman is well versed in running a multifamily operating platform, a day-to-day routine during his 10-year tenure as a principal at Allied Realty.
Brockman formed Anbrock, LLC in 2012 and Convergence Multifamily Real Estate Group in 2015. Convergence leverages 30 years of multifamily experience and develops quality assets across Metro Denver and Colorado mountain towns, as well as other lifestyle cities in the U.S.
Brockman’s professional affiliations include serving as the 1999-2000 President of the Apartment Association of Metro Denver and the 2002-2003 President of the Colorado Apartment Association (CAA). He currently serves on the boards of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Momentum Real Estate’s Advisory Board. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Regis University, where he obtained his B.S. in Business Administration.
Over his 30-year career, Mr. Porraro and his teams have invested in, entitled, developed and built more than 14,000 apartment homes with a capitalization over $3.5 Billion. In 2010, Peter was one of the founding partners of Mill Creek Residential (a leading national rental housing development firm) and most recently served as the President of the Investment Management Division and was a member of the Investment Committee. He worked over 16 years in various roles with Mill Creek and its predecessor company Trammell Crow Residential.
Before that, he served as the Executive Managing Director of Development, with overall responsibility for development and construction in Mill Creek’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, including Washington, D.C., Boston and the greater New York City metropolitan area. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Peter spent 9 years in NYC working as an Equity Investment and Acquisition Executive at Real Estate Capital Partners.
Mr. Porraro received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Drew University and earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University. He is a member of the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA), a founding member of New Jersey Mixed-Use Developers, an affiliate of NJBA and on the Multi-Family Gold Council at ULI.
